Walleye Madness at Midnight
What's more exciting than a summer spotting of Wylie, the 20 foot long, 600 pound fiberglass fish that gets around town? Why it is being in downtown Port Clinton on New Years Eve when Wylie is dropped from the sky at midnight.
The Walleye drop has had national recognition. Television news stations taking viewers from city to city on New Years Eve brought Wylie into homes across the country and Ripleys Believe it or Not let the world know the walleye drop is very true.

Walleye Madness at Midnight is more than just a fiberglass walleye drop from the sky at midnight. People come from miles around to share in the festivities that lead up to midnight.
Historic Downtown Port Clinton restaurant and shop owners open their doors for food, spirits, trinket sales and entertainment while main stage entertainment includes local celebrities that include the Walleye Queen and the Mayor.
Be sure to pick up some Wild Walleye Popcorn made with cajun spices and your collectors ornament commemorating each years walleye drop from one of the many Port Clinton shops carrying the souvenier.
Walleye Madness at Midnight is usually very cold so come prepared! For further information about exact event times visit our December calendar of events, or the Walleye Madness website.
